A. Renaissance is really today’s solution for sonography support in that our team has expertise with specific ultrasound platforms and the training we provide is to help our customers maximize the technology features of their existing ultrasound system. Our skilled professionals tie in the new or existing clinical applications conducted in your practice with the ability of your ultrasound platform.
We do not teach ultrasound, our clients must already be knowledgeable with the physics of the technology and have experience scanning. To locate an accredited ultrasound program near you, visit www.caahep.org
A. Definitely! This is exactly the type of ultrasound training we provide. When you purchase a new ultrasound system the best person to provide that training is the on staff clinical person assigned to your account, typically this is also included in the purchase price. However, due to their time constraints or your financial constraints, it is not always feasible to have that person come back into your facility. Renaissance retains a team of ultrasonographers versed in many ultrasound manufacturers and models and after conducting a phone assessment, we will dispatch a qualified sonographer, proficient with your system, to provide on-site training.
A. We understand that there are many options when purchasing ultrasound equipment and certainly if cost is a factor, going with a reputable reseller is a cost-effective solution. Unfortunately, typically the reseller does not provide clinical applications support because they do not have clinical people on staff. Our goal at Renaissance is for healthcare professionals to maximize their ultrasound system to its fullest potential and provide the best diagnosis possible, so we will work with you regardless of where you purchased your ultrasound system.
Unless you are very proficient with the equipment purchased and have only a couple of questions, we will need to conduct on-site training either as a half day or full day session. In our experience, the only way to provide professional, clinical training is to conduct ultrasound training in person with hands-on practice to become comfortable with the knobology of the equipment and apply the technology learned to patients.
A. Excellent question! After 15 years working for two manufacturers of diagnostic ultrasound equipment and three years with her own business as a reseller of ultrasound systems, the founder, Leslie Patton, saw a niche to provide an alternative to OEM clinical applications support, working with customers and ultrasound resellers who are price conscious. She knows that the only way to be successful in this business is to “say what you do and do what you say” – it is all based on a solid reputation and word-of-mouth positive feedback. The collective team of individuals are highly qualified, seasoned professionals who share the goal of providing excellent customer service and who look forward to establishing long-term relationships with other healthcare professionals.
